The new Young Artists Division is a comprehensive fast track program for 12–16 year old children who are pursuing a professional career in dance. Children take 8 classes per week in ballet technique, pointe, boy’s class, repertory, music for dancers, theater dance and modern dance. Children perform in New York City and on national tour with New York Theatre Ballet in roles specially designed for children. Placement in the program is by audition or invitation only.
CLASSES ARE GIVEN CONTINUOUSLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. Students may enroll in the middle of the year provided there is space available in the class.
Students under 18 years of age must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian liable for tuition. An enrollment form should be completed by the responsible adult for each child enrolled, with the appropriate tuition payment. Children will not be admitted into class without a completed enrollment form and required payment.
Classes will not be canceled due to weather.
THE SCHOOL IS CLOSED FOR ALL NATIONAL HOLIDAYS. BALLET SCHOOL NY IS AUTHORIZED UNDER FEDERAL LAW TO ENROLL NON-IMMIGRANT ALIEN STUDENTS.
