Mayu Oguri was born in Japan and has studied and performed dance internationally. She received scholarships and graduated from both the Conservatoire Superieur de Paris and the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon, where she received a diploma of “national highest study” in choreography (CES and DNESS). Ms. Oguri has been coached by the head teachers and principal dancers of the Opera National de Paris, the Centro de danza de Victor Ullate and the Ailey School. She was awarded the bronze medal for the Grand Pas de Deux section by the Concours International de danse de Biarriz. In 2006, the Company Ballet de Paris invited Ms. Oguri to Brazil to perform various pieces. Ms. Oguri has trained with the Teatro alla Scala, the Opera National de Lyon, and the Compania Nacional de Danza 1 and 2. She has worked with the Jeune Ballet de CNSMD de Lyon, The Francesca Harper Project, The Albano Ballet Company and Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theatre. Ms. Oguri is a member of the Ballet Association of Japan.
